The unwritten contract
A card room runs on an unwritten contract, and signing it is free EV. Protect your cards — keep a card guard on top, because mucked by accident is mucked forever. Never slow-roll: delaying a winning reveal burns goodwill and buys nothing. Don't splash the pot — bets in one clean motion, chips where the dealer can count them. One player to a hand: no coaching, no asking the table what to do. Tip the dealer on won pots at the local rate, and act at a reasonable pace. It is all long-run EV — pleasant players get invited to the soft games, and angle-shooters end up playing only with each other.
